The Convergence 3600 is a very powerful, real-time communication appliance for enterprise branch office and aggregation layer connectivity scenarios with up to 1500 users. The Convergence 3600 enables Enterprises or Service Providers to connect branch offices or large customer sites to central data centers or to hosted service offerings. This enables companies to accomplish a branch consolidation of their IT infrastructure while assuring the quality of service, security and feature transparency of their communication infrastructure.

The Convergence 3600 is a fully RFC 3261 compliant SIP Proxy - Registrar as well as B2BUA. As such, it can act as a Edge or Cascaded Session Border Controller thus solving the SIP NAT problem in Enterprise or Hosted VoIP settings. At the same time it can be used for implementing QoS and VoIP survivability in large and very large branch offices. It can also be used in cascaded scenarios at the network aggregation layer or in central site medium business scenarios.

The Convergence 3600 is suitable as a universal network building block for medium size offices. It helps to keep the costs down by providing an all in one, future proof solution. The performance of the Convergence 3600 allows serving up to 1500 users. It also features a redundancy solution that permits using a second Convergence 3600 in Hot-Failover mode for high availability scenarios.
